I have searched but cannot find a "Free" program to allow me to Sync my Outlook Calendar 2010 on my PC to my Samsung Charge.

Anyone have any suggestions ?

I had similar problem and I found MyPhoneExplorer. You need applications on both sides (Windows and Android) to make sync work. It's a little bit harder than activesync, but it works and it's for free.

Which phone did you use it with ?

I have ZTE Skate.
At first place I was looking for free alternatives (there's a lot of paid apps). I found this and it worked for me, so I stopped looking for another application.
What is annoying me, is fact that every sync program communicates over Google (calendar, contacts, etc.), and I would like to do it directly Outlook <-> Phone. But I hadn't found any application like this.
It's said that activesync/WMDC were last real sync programs.
Did you find something better?

I'm hoping to be able to sync the calendar using the USB and cut ut any sort of third party connection.

I have not tried any programs yet. But I've got to get something going and get my info synced ASAP.

I loaded the client on both my PC and Samsung Droid Charge and the program recognized my phone and when I chose to "Sync"... nothing happened as far as downloading my Outlook Calander info from the PC onto my phone.

It went thru the motions like it was doing something, but no calander info was transfered at all.

What am I doing wrong ?

Press "F2" (settings) -> Sync -> you have to set Outlook for Contacts/Calendar

I didn't know that the program had use of any funcion Keys.

Is there some some of manual for the program to give these directions?

I didn't see anything obvious on the website.

Lastly, I synced my calendar and now on my Samsung Charge, It is showing alarms for the calendar events. i don't want any alarms or reminders.... how do I turn them ALL off globally ?

Hmm, I don't know. I don't have any alarm for calendar.

I agree myphone explorer is brilliant and when you look at what else it can do like installing and uninstalling applications, file transfer, backing up txt messages, writing texts to be sent initiating calls etc and so much more.
