Verizon stops me from using Wireless Tether??

Rooted Droid X using Wireless Tether v2.0.7

When I connect my laptop it forwards me to Verizon Wireless website asking me to pay...

I find it hard to believe that no one has worked around this...

I know this is a bit old, but have you tried a different wireless tethering app such as Barnacle Wifi Tether? Worth a shot

The Droid x, Droid 2 Global, and the Droid 3 ( Actually ANY Motorola device that can wireless tether) can now detect the wireless tether through a tracking file that was in an update. There is a Fix and not only will it work for a rooted phone this fix will also work for a NON Rooted phone and you can use the built in mobile hot spot.
