Hi, I'm searching for an application, that can enable file sharing on android devices over wifi, just like the bluetooth, or a method like one device is a wifi hotspot and other is client and an app which can read other devices sd card contents and allow uploading and downloading from one device to another. Is application like that available or this method technically possible? I had some issues with different android devices, that were not able to send/receive files through bluetooth, or a file was too big to send through this protocol. Any answer would be great full.

Thank you raj2sudha, I've tried both apps and are working! Also I tried setting one device as wifi hotspot and instaled wifi file explorer on it. Idea was to manage files through web browser if I don't have any wifi router in range, but somehow it wouldn't work. Thanks again!

Enable wifi hotspot on one device and connect the other device to that wifi. and try to use one of the above given apps on both devices. now you can tranfer files from one device to another via wifi.

for function like bluetooth, try file expert.
Code: Select allQ: How to send file via WIFI?
A:1.Firstly, please make sure you have the access to the same WIFI connection.
2.Secondly, Open File Expert in the phone you need to receive file, go to Share My Contents→Start WIFI File Receiver.
3.Thirdly, Open File Expert in the phone you need to send file, long press on the file→Send Files→Send via WIFI.
File expert will search the devices which open WIFI receiver around and then you can choose to transfer files.

Advantage: No need to have an internet connection

step-1 create a wifi hotspot using u'r laptop's wifi through connectify-me and in the field of connection to share select option "No internet Sharing" and then connect your android to this wifi signal

step-2 open your windows explorer and press "Map Network Drive"

step-3 click on "Connect to a Web site that you can use to store....." option and then click next and again click next

step-4 install " WellFTP Server " in your android phone and open it and note down the Network Address

step-5 Enter the address in the address bar
eg: ftp://192.168.65.100:1234 and click next and again click next

step-6 Give the network a name eg: My Android, and then click finish

There you go...you have setup a network location to your android successfully...now you can browse your sdcard as if you are browsing your hard drive

All you have to do is connect your Android to connectify-me and then open WellFtp server in your phone and Browse through WINDOWS EXPLORER
