hi guys,

well, i've browsing through the "Android >> security" section for a while,
and i know a lot of ppl are writing comments on some of the release pages of some of these softwares,
but it seems that most of the ppl who comment on the AVG page (for example) are AVG fans.

i use AVAST on my Desktop, works fine, although i find Ad remove programs (like Ad-Aware) more valuable to me.

i'd like to post this question here in hope for some real debate on the subject, so...

What is the best antivirus software for andriod ?

in addition please refer to things like Battery drain, amount of False positive (could b annoying), fast / slow, conflicts with other softwares,
amount of updates etc. be creative

and... GO!

I use Avast mobile Security and i never had any problems, not with viruses and not with false positives.

Kaspersky Mobile Security works great for my HTC desire s. i really like it!

avast is great, the anti-theft features are amazing

I have net quin antivirus but i have a doubt on its working.It never ever showed a single virus on my phone or while downloading any app and wen i connects my phone to pc for copying files.The Pc AVG shows that sum threats detected..what is all this..plz help me as i dont have much knowlege about antiviruses and virus etc.

I really think that with Microsoft's Security Essentials you are fine, but for me, the best antivirus, either paid or free, is Avast.
