In this topic we will cover the Music Players category. Next post contains the Android Music Players released on this site, that you can use on your smartphone or tablet device. There are tons of applications that you can use to lisen to your favorite songs, but only some of them are taking this experience to the maximum for you. Up to you to find out which one suits you most.

Most players are constantly updated by their developers. Tapping an application link will show you all versions released on this site. This is not a ‘best Android music players’ ranking, but a random list of the player applications that you can use on your Android device. Note that most of the apps are working with all Android versions. Be aware that not all Android music players released on this site are free to use: always think about rewarding developers by buying those applications you keep.

Then while you're here, you could eventually post a reply to these simple questions:

    - Is there any music player for android missing in the list, that was released on this site?
    - Do you listen yourself to music on your Android device? What player do you use, and why?
    - Please share your music player(s) experience.

We'd like to hear from you...

Incredibly Enchanting Music Players for Android released on this site:

  • ³ aka Cubed Music Player - (review)
If you want something very different and a little bit odd, try this. The app, which we think is called Cubed, presents your music collection on, yes, the surface of a cube. Swiping left to right runs through your collection alphabetically, while paging up and down goes through all your albums. It downloads album art, scrobbles to Last.fm and is generally fun to fiddle with.
  • Amazon MP3 - (review)
To call Amazon MP3 a music player is quite the understatement. As well as playing your legacy MP3 collection, this integrates with Amazon's cloud storage service, letting you sync your offline collection to the "cloud" for streaming through the app. You have to pay to upload lots of your own tracks, though, with the idea really being to encourage you to buy MP3s through Amazon -- which are free to store and stream through the app.
  • BBE SonicMax Pro - (No review yet)
Turn your Android device into an HD-quality music player. BBE’s critically acclaimed HD audio technology – Sonic Maximizer® - is now available for the mobile generation. SonicMax Pro is the must-have app for every musician, aspiring DJ and music fanatic. If you love music, prepare to fall in love all over again.
  • DoubleTwist Player - (review)
DoubleTwist's one of the most comprehensive music apps available for Android, fitting in pretty much everything you might ever need. It syncs with PC, Mac and even iTunes playlists, manages podcast subscriptions, looks up missing album artwork and more. Some of it's free while other modules are unlocked via in-app purchases, but at least that means you get to give it a shot for free.
  • DeaDBeeF Player - (review)
Player which can play many file formats + online radio (shoutcast)
  • EZ Folder Player - (No review yet)
Prefer using folder to manage your music files? Always hard to find the song you want to play in Default Android Music Player? This app is for you!
EZ Folder Player is an alternative music player based on folder structure. Browse to your music folder and choose which music file you want to start playing.
  • GoneMAD Music Player - (review)
Our next option may not sound familiar, but serves as a decent music player for your Android devices. The GoneMad music player for Android supports all standard music files aac, mp3, mp4, ogg, wav, flac, tta, ape, mpc, alac and wma (except lossless wma). It features customizable 2 to 10 band graphic equalizer with 3 quality settings and even Left/Right audio balance adjustments. Those with Android 2.3 and above get some additional support. GoneMad offers a 14 day trial version, which can then be upgraded by simply installing the GoneMad Unlocker.
  • jetAudio Plus - (review)
jetAudio for Windows is the highest rated and most downloaded media player on CNET.COM and, now you can listen to same high-quality sound on your Android phone using jetAudio.
  • MixZing Media Player - (review)
A rather mixed option this. MixZing's minimalist and modern front end takes you through to a pretty bland player, but the killer feature here is a customisable graphic equaliser with the option to apply its audio filters to all your tunes, one particular album or even one individual track. Things don't get much more customisable than that.
  • Music Folder Player - (No review yet)
This player is one of the best alternatives to the build in android player. It supports direct playback from any folder on your memory card. You can use this player for music, audio books, podcasts and whatever audio files you have stored on your phones sd card.
  • n7player Music Player - (review)
Imagine music navigation like never before. We have done it! We have always believed that music player experience can be something more. This is exactly why we have created n7player 2.0. Many graphical improvements had been made and the user experience is even better than before. n7player no longer relies on Android Media Scanner and uses it's own media library.
  • Neutron Music Player - (review)
The Neutron Music player’s user interface may be gaudy for some, but the music player functions efficiently. It’s smooth to use and feature loaded for every taste. Those owning a high-end device can get the most out of this player, while it is definitely worth the buy for others, too. After a trial version of 5 days, users can go ahead and buy the music player application.
  • PowerAMP - (review)
One of the most popular indie Android music players, thanks to combining a stylish design with stacks of graphic equaliser tools, crossfading, lyric display, Last.fm scrobbling, MP3 tag editing from the phone itself and much more. The trial version's free, but Poweramp is one you won't begrudge paying a couple of quid for.
  • RealPlayer® Premium - (review)
One of the best Android apps to enjoy music is RealPlayer. Although, it is still in beta, Realplayer has been made simple and user-friendly. It has an intuitive user interface, faster scrolling, content folder search and playlist editor. RealPlayer has been accepting feedback from its users to implement further improvements. It is available on Google Play for free.
  • Winamp - (review)
Yes, the old PC desktop player lives on in Android form, with an incredibly feature-packed app for users of Google's mobile OS. Winamp supports iTunes importing, Shoutcast internet radio, plenty of new music discovery tools that include access to free new stuff, plus lock screen player controls, Last.fm scrobbling and more.

How should I read reviews?
First of all, the reviews are not mine. Only done effort I claim is to find the most appropriate review on the web, and post it here in the specific release topic. (I always add the source). So you don't have to search for a review yourself, risking to get trapped in that bad world outside our forum, infected with pop-ups and other advertiser's tricks. I don't have the time myself to try all the applications, and check reviewer's comments towards my own experience. Which means that the fact the review is posted here, doesn't necessary correspond with mine. Worse, some reviews could even be written to promote an application, by the developers themselves, or fake reviewers. Which leaves us to the purpose/need to have reviews: reviews give a deeper insight about the options and the possibilities of the player, while adding screenshot(s) to the review, in case there's only a promotional cover image shown in the release post. I believe in 'love at first sight', and pictures often give a valuable impression about your attraction to a specific application. Screenshots do that job.
Finally, the reviews are not linked to a specific version of a music player. Meaning the options and specifications described in the reviews might have been changed in more recent updates of the application.
Finally (bis), though reviews might give you an idea about the player, nothing compares to having a try yourself... Download that music player, try it out, and find out for yourself if you like it. If it ain't free, think about the developer and buy it legally, thus rewarding him/her for the work.
Finally (really), share your experience in this forum, then your comments might inspire other users...

    Enjoy! - Guy
