I'm new to this site and am really impressed with the wide range of items on it. I had a few questions, though:

1) All I have to do is download the APK file, transfer it to my phone and open the file?

2) I was wondering if you were to download a program that the Play store charges for (Poweramp PRO, for example), when the Play Store alerted you to an update for the program (would it even do that?) would there be any issues? Thanks

1) Yes download and install just like that. (Make sure to have checked Unknown Sources in your phone settings)

2) No issue. You still receive update notification, but can't update. You have to download and install the latest version outside of playstore.
