It will either fail or it will replace them with the free versions from there (probably with ads & in-app purchases), it would be interesting if it manages to update old vers. of paid apps/games installed manually from an package from here or anywhere else but PS (and you haven't bought it ofc.).
PS is annoying af and in fact you can't stop it from updating apps when such is marked as a critical fix, for example I disabled the auto-updates (of Google apps too) and I don't have a G. account signed-in the device (never had, or any other for that matter), but it still decided to update YT by itself couple days ago, which I don't use btw, this is a huge problem for me, privacy concern and whatnot, it's being invasive/intrusive and doesn't respect user's choice as of settings/preferences and it constantly updates itself, there's no stopping it, unless I go for AOSP without GApps, but then there will be a lot of issues, because some if not most apps from PS or unlocked won't work as expected or at all and so on, so it is what it is.
BTW, both Play Protect toggles are Off, but that doesn't stop it from nagging/ranting about with a lop-up dialog to enable them when I install a package (if it's not in the same week after it first asked).
Windows is the same after 7 btw, even tho I got annoyed and uninstalled the MS Store. It's a trend and a popular thing to not respect users, their choice and be annoying as much as possible.

24 hrs later it`s gone back to normal. Why this has happened I don`t know but Samsung updated my phones software this morning (Samsung S22 Ultra). Maybe that corrected it?Selgovae wrote:Noticed this myself but wondering if anything can be done to reverse this problem?

Did not try to update anything.
I installed patched store with Lucky Patcher and it is back to normal, but I understand it`s not an option for all of us
