I use Home++ on my Droid. It's free, fast, and allows up to 7 screens (though I only use 5). As far as homescreen widgets, I change mine every couple of days and always try out new ones to have different looks. Weather Widgets and Beautiful widgets (flip clock version) are my favourite homescreen clocks to use but Digital Clock Widget has a nice minimalist design to it.

I was using Panda until today, something with the last update nearly rendered my motor droid useless. It lets you customize the number of home screens, I had 8. Also has sliding side docks, 3 on each side of the screen that you can customize length, width, opacity. It also reads nearly all the different theme packages.
The downside I have noticed is since I had been running it since day one when I got my DROID, is it makes the phone slower. Now that I am not running any custom home software, phone is much more responsive and not one force close.
I did try Open Home today and thought it was cool, but could not quite figure out how to customize certain things that Panda did. Difference in capabilities made me uninstall it. I will wait until the next Panda update, hopefully they will have the issues fixed.

I did decide to try Home++, although different than Panda in many ways it has some very nice features. My favorite feature is the ability to continuously scroll through the different home screens. Meaning I don't have to swipe backwards once I reach the last screen, it just loops back through to the beginning screen. Home++ also does not appear to suffer the same annoying lag that Panda seemed to develope after several releases. I also like the scrolling power bar that has all the main things you open, such as phone, contacts, browser, notifications etc.
So if you felt let down by Panda or Open Home and others I highly recommend trying Home++. You can't beat the price...free. :)

I have Launcherpro too. It's light and versatile enough for my needs. Some homescreens are cluttered with useless features which can slow up the phone, but this has been cool. Openhome looks cool, though. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.

Used to use Home++, then switched to LauncherPro as it was pre-installed on a ROM I got. Now I'm using AWD with the sticker-book theme because it looks good :P

I personally found LauncherPro very interesting for the homescreen, but slow and unefficient for the application dock. Much better the TouchWiz 3 native interface of my Galaxy S, which allows to move & place app icons to group them by "category".

Actually I'm looking for a LauncherPro-like base dock (I mean the 5+5+5 sliding icons at the bottom) ONLY, without all the other heavy stuff... Any hint ?

Side topic question: what about your preferred application pages organizer ?
I don't like them on the widget pages and I would categorize and organize all of them without a second copy

Thanks
