I'm on a Galaxy S with Froyo. I downloaded the file, it appears to be a .apk that was renamed to a .zip, so I changed the filename to .apk and attempted to install but keep getting a parsing error. I tried downloading from two different hosts with the same result.

you have to unzip the file and inside the zip there's apk file that you need to install.

@Phrack
please re up your links with just apk file , you'll make users lives a lot easier ;)
thanks

When the file is extracted you don't get an apk, you get the internal files of an apk, which is why I tried renaming it to .apk but if I do that I get a parsing error when trying to install.

It's not an APK renamed to ZIP, just a regular ZIP file with an APK inside, just like 60% of the posts on Mobilism.org are RAR or ZIP. Some are renamed, it should be indicated in the download instructions - that's what it's there for, hence 'download instructions'.

It's a ZIP file, extract the APK and install it, no password. Plenty of free file managers on the market that can unzip. Lots of files here on mobilism are RAR or ZIP.

I didn't know ZIP and RAR files were not allowed since I see so many things posted here that were awarded $WRZ I thought it was ok, nor is it stated anywhere in the "how to post" sticky that archives are not allowed. Unlike the majority of posters here who only post 2 links (filesonic & duckload because they have paid accounts and therefore get $$ for link referrerals) I have posted a total of 9 links. I don't have any premium accounts so I get nothing in return, just wanted to share with other users. So I have to re-upload to all 9 because a few noobs have never seen a ZIP file before? Ugghhh!

Still don't believe me huh? I didn't think I would have to type out the contents of the zip but it looks like I do.

Upon extraction of "ti83.zip", you get a folder named "net.supware.ti83". I'm assuming this is supposed to be the apk, however it is decompiled. The following is the contents of that folder:

AndroidManifest.xml
assets
classes.dex
lib
META-INF
res
resources.arsc

As I said before, the internal files of an apk. It would be appreciated if you could upload the compiled and signed apk.

Using the native OSX extractor. Interesting - I've downloaded countless zip files from Mobilism before and have never had problems extracting the apks. Must be the type of compression the OP used. Too late now anyway, I already created an apk from the loose files that I got from that zip. Thanks for the post though.
