Make money on the Diablo 3 Auction House by upgrading gems using this calculator
D3 Gem Calculator will help you to calculate the gold and resource requirements for upgrading gems in Diablo 3. It will also let you know how much you need to sell it for on the auction house to make a profit.
* Easy price entry
* Quick calculations showing required resources and gold outlay
* Tells you how much you need to sell the resulting gem for to make a profit on the auction house, after the 15% cut
* Calculates all possible crafts to tell you the best trade to make a profit on the auction house
* Remembers the last craft you calculated
-- New feature - Gem Trader (This feature is only available in the full version)
The Gem Trader tab will take the gem prices that you enter in the Prices tab and run through all possible gem upgrade calculations to work out the most profitable crafts. It will let you know the profit margin and actual profit in gold for each recommended upgrade.
These are calculated after the auction house takes its cut.
Tap one of the results in the Trader tab to fill the Upgrade tab with the desired craft,
showing you the resources required and expected cost.
If you don't want to keep prices for all gems up to date, then you can ignoring low level gems when you calculate. This will only take gems from Flawless Square onward into account.
Selecting this option also makes the calculation process a lot faster
-- Entering Gem Prices
At the moment, there is no Auction House API for Diablo 3. This means that there is no way for apps like this to automatically update prices from the AH. So you have to do it manually until Blizzard gives us an API to play with.
It's easy to do and doesn't take long, so don't be discouraged.
