Thanks, I had found 1.1.6 on the internet already. But not any later version. According to https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-13856.html the new version can take a while, the beta seems to be quite buggy at the moment.

1.6.1 has been a bit buggy for me in the 18+ months I have been using it, namely in that it doesn't always place the LCD characters in the correct position in landscape mode. I have to restart the app a second time. Even with that, it's my go-to RPN calc on Android if I don't have my real HP calc around.

Yes, the official versions are quite expensive in the Playstore - I would buy them if they ware comparable to other pay apps, but not for $20. At least not when 1.1.6 works OK for me, unlike the constant problems the cracked Sygic navigator versions give.

For the HP 12C, version 1.7.1 can be found, and for the 16C there exist a quite good open source version on https://github.com/zathras/JRPN_Android
