I have tryed a older version of the core player but the same result. (so didnt need to add a serial key now)
I just disabled my internet connection (dont use it anyway cause it cost waay to much in new zealand).
it then jammed like before, but i decided to leave it for a 5 mins. when i returned it was fine. I think it was just searching for all my music, so that is why it froze up for a bit. its not dialing anymore though even when i relaunch the core player. Sooooo im still confused what happen. But giving up thinking why. cause it works anyway.

Cheers for your quick reply! We need more people like you in this forum :)

I was excited to hear about all these improvements that CorePlayer was supposedly going to have, especially since I'm STILL looking for .flv file support (yes, I already KNOW that these files can be converted, I know! I don't want to have to, that's my point, lol!). But so far, all these little things have proven annoying with no real benefit I can't like without. I'm going back to v1.1.1.1600, the last highly stable version I had been using. Every subsequent release I've tried has resulted in something not working right, or previously known file types that played fine now skipping, etc. I hope they really get this right some day. For that, I would actually pay for the app, no problem. It's when they charge 30 quid and the app turns out being actually worse that previously released versions that bothers me.

The previous version works perfectly for me, with absolutely no problems. It is 1.2.2.
Let me know if you need the link/mirror.

For .flv support have you tried out vlcplayer for pocket pc? i havent tryed it myself. but the desktop versions supports flv so i dont see why the pocket version wont

Thanks for the info, but everything I have seen regarding the vlcplayer seems to indicate that the app was discontinued almost 4 years ago. Other anecdotal comments indicate that the last known PPC build is buggy at best. If this isn't what you know to be the case, then by all means let me know and I'll try and find it.

Better stay with the old one, the new release includes only a blacklisted serial!

There's some serious trouble. There is no video only audio even after hard reset and nothing else installed. Reverted back to v1.02 that worked perfect but without .wmv or .flv support.

Most probably you imported an alien config.xml with one of the releases which settings are not fitting for your device. Simply erase config.xml and all should work just fine.
