Yup it's got some nice features too, only a couple things: if run on VGA device the display becomes quartered because they didn't include the VGA skin in the original install package (perhaps to cut down on file size) so you have to install them yourself. VGA skins can be downloaded here:

Also I find that the sound decoding quality isn't very good, I dunno maybe it's just me sucking at the graphic equalizer :? But anyways yeah it's a satisfying app, 3.5 stars out of 5 :)

In WM6.1 the skin is not discovered, wherever you put it.

I'm using WM6.1

I just put the SKN file on My Storage Card & select "Tools --> Choose Skin" from the app, it automatically displays "Sleek(Blue) VGA" in the list which is the correct skin. I selected it & working well on my Axim X51v ;)

Thank you Lord Yuz for your kind info, but unfortunately, this is the only screen I get on my FSC Loox 560N.

Seems that my ppc does not like it. :)Image

Wow, I missed this when I moved from Palm and had to settle for PocketPlayer and RescoRadio to get similar functionality. Now I can removed these and have it all with PTunes.

I did exactly as you said, but nothing comes on screen. Perhaps a strange bug on my Loox 560N.

Lord Yuz, I also tried to copy in install dir, also repacked the cab with WinCECab manager, same thing.

Try this Zeno:

I made a CAB there to address these issues as other users may be experiencing them also. Hope this helps.

ReadMe:
Code: Select allTo date Pocket Tunes for Windows Mobile v4.1 comes bundled with only the non-VGA skin & it is used by default.

This will trigger QVGA mode on some VGA devices & while Pocket Tunes' internal graphic routines do correctly switch to (& operate in) VGA mode, this conflicts with the device's rollback to QVGA & so application & device aren't operating in a synchronized manner.

Actual experienced issues may vary but the worst by far is that the device may not respond to screen taps & as such the application cannot be used properly.

This CAB will attempt to fix these issues at the source:

1) By installing a VGA skin to the "/My Documents" folder.
2) By overwriting the current preferences file "PTPrefs" which is located in the "\Application Data" folder with a new one which has specified the installed VGA skin as the current selected skin.

IMPORTANT: All current settings will be replaced as the entire preferences file is overwritten.

It is recommended that you uninstall & reinstall Pocket Tunes & delete all downloaded Pocket Tunes skin files before installing this CAB.

Also it is highly recommended that users install this CAB only as a last resort, the best way to solve this problem is to download a VGA skin from here & select that manually from within the application itself.

Love the simplicity of this application, definitely missed using it since I gave up my Palm TX. Hated having to be at the PC to create or edit my playlists using WMP.

!! A great Thank You for your efforts! :)

It works now! :)

But:

You must install in Device Memory, not on SD-CARD.
It starts directly in correct VGA screen.
But when browsing for other extra skins, still founds nothing.

However is great! Thank you, Lord Yuz! :) :)

Anyone found the setting to blank screen after a preset time. This was in the Palm edition but I don't see it here.
