just now installed and checked but it have limited content.. i can only find 6 courses in it...
and sad thing is i need to register again to that app even i already registered in great courses plus.. even tho both are from same developer...

Because both are different services. "The Great Courses" is the main platform which came in 1990. They used to sell courses through DVD at that time. But now it is possible to buy courses in DVD or online format. So, if you buy a course from the website, then it`ll be available in the app.

That`s why you are not seeing any course except the free videos. And yes, "The Great Courses" has more courses than "Plus". It has 1200+ courses whereas plus version contains 700+ courses which is also good. But you cannot find some old courses in plus version as there are licence issues.

But "The Teaching Company" said that these old courses will be added to plus in future. I think "TGC Plus" has already enough contents. We don`t need every courses. Most popular and common courses are already available and new contents are constantly being added.

In short "TGC plus" is a streaming service like netflix and "TGC" is the main platform which sells the courses in physical/online format. So, if you only update "TGC Plus", it`ll be enough. Other old courses can be found in torrent. Thanks to Hersh and LunaDev. Kindly keep updating this plus app.

You just have to create a free account. No credit card is needed. When it asks for payment, just close that window. Then, log in to this app and you`ll have the premium version forever. You will be able to stream/download in audio/video format.
