This version apk is made using the 'old' compiler as the new one seemed to be causing problems with finding the sd-card for some people.

It also completes the Field Note taking option and adds GPS location to each note.

I will to look into saving a species to a Google POI. Would this be of use to anyone?

Hi Sarah,
I tried to get this to work with the old wm6.5 data to no avail, so I decided to download the datafolder in this post.
But mediafire gives me the following error - File Blocked for Violation..

Hi Graham

The Android app only works with the current data. The old Winmobile data format is gone and forgotten.

When I say the 'old' compiler was used I mean the old language compiler software I used to write the app. I think the newer one I had recently upgraded to was giving sd-card detection errors so I reverted to a previous version.

NEW (Hotfile) DATA FOLDER LINK ADDED IN MAIN POST

Hi Sarah Thanks for the great software.
I have an issue with release 2.7.5 in that I'm trying to run it on a tablet which doesn't have GPS and each time I start the APP it asks me to enable GPS which I can't and it never gets any further.
Strangely I can run this on my mobile which DOES have GPS but is not enabled, so its not wether GPS is running or not it appears as though it just has to present on the device.

What I am going to do is release a new version [2.7.8 see link below] without the gps code.

Hopefully I will be able to integrate gps back into it when I have made it work only after it is selected from the setup page.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your job.
In windows mobile version gps positions are saved in kml file. Is possible the same in android version, with subdirectory in file kml for any species?

I'd like to do this as it would make the gps logs easily viewable on a map. I will have to work out how to write to file in kml format.
