Hi great prog. just updated to 4.06 but can't get it to see marine life option have tried with and without spaces. any ideas?

You've copied the downloaded folder Marine Life into sdcard/aviasoft?

It it best to unzip it on a pc as android can place it wirhin two folders of the same name, for some odd reason.

There is a text file in the aviasoft folder aaTOPICS.TXT and it should list the topics too.

yes done all that and checked that name is the same as in topics .txt but it is still not showing in prog. Other topics show up ok.

VERSION 4.11 RELEASED.

This release has a newly created tablet APK as tablets suffered previously from small text and so on. The zip file includes both the phone and tablet APKs.

Tablets can have the database located in internal sdcard memory.

Apologies for delay in replying. Using S3 ver 4.12. Updated to 4.11 version but still the same. Deleted existing folder and redownloaded it changed name to Marine Life but still no joy.

I just tested it on my samsung tab 2 tablet. It is running v4.11also. It worked fine. Which is very strange because I then discovered a bug in the code. In line 1275 I had somehow missed changing the old name Marine to the new name Marine Life.

So dear koj, I thank you for bringing this error to me. Because you are the only person for whom marine life did not work. It works on both my devices, buy I am at a loss to understand why it mostly works. The error should have stopped everyone from loading marine life data. Android is a truly strange os.

I am about to upload v4.12 with this dumb error fixed. Try this new apk.

Hi Sarah,
have downloaded the last "tablet" version and must say that now the program works very well. The screen is used in full mode the text scrolls well , response time are ok.
One problem:
the Birds topic doesn't show the special buttons - large image scroll , map , song/loudspeaker.
From the other side, I have resized my images at 300x400 which is a bit too large, while this dimension is ok for PC Win and WinMob. Should I resize my images?

Your image size should be fine.

I will check the image resize buttons. I resize with two touch method so I didn't notice that the non-capacitive screen method was not working. Sorry.

You scroll the images (not map) by dragging.

The map tab should be available for birds only. Is that ok for your data?

The birdsong is available from the song tab. When selecting the birdsong tab the song no longer begins automatically. You now should press PLAY or STOP buttons.

my problem is that I do not see the buttons for large images, map, song.
The available buttons are only those valid for other topics.
Have to say that, in order to be fast, I have downloaded only Birds, Fungi and Birdsong.
