The website page for the android version was pointing to an old file 'wildherbs zip' not the new one so that solves that little mystery Fixed!

The aviasoft folder will be placed on the default card/memory location. If you go to prefs and choose the alternative/internal location, a folder will be created there, too. It should not be created internally unless you choose internal memory.

No texts on any topic? I am seriously considering abandoning android. Android is just so glichy and weird. All seems fine on my phone (android 2.2) and tablet (android 4.1).

The wild herbs topic was my mistake. The other 'missing' topics are errors that simply should not be happening. Someone tells me he cannot hear any bird songs. They work fine for me so wtf?

Android devices, with their bespoke firmware and all these different versions of the operating system make having an app reliable across the device and platform range just impossible. Somebody shoot me. Lol

Don't sweat it Sarah, 'tis only me reporting this, p'raps it's operator error!
I got the texts back by uninstalling v.5xx, keeping the topics in the folder and reinstalling v.4.3.2 (the last version I had)
Shame, v.5 looked quite polished.
But on a brighter note, I now have all 12 topics!

Just to report all is working fine on my new phone (Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, Android 4.2.2) and the missing text is easily rectified by going to preferences and selecting a text size (none is selected by default?). Don't abandon Android Sarah, you're just starting to master it

BTW, the preferences zoom options much improves the layout, well done. Changes to prefs seem to need a restart, no big deal!

Birdsong default is headphones, select speaker to hear it

Going to Spain again tomorrow so version 5.0.2 arrived just in time!

Version v5.0.5 in main post.

Fixes missing text at start up on mad_sunday's device and volume control removed. Use standatd volume controls to set song loudness.

Some fixes and improvements in menu display and record display. It is getting there!

Hi Sarah,
just installed 5.0.5 and there is a little problem on my S4 running 4.2.2. If I select 3d button set I get an error when trying to listen to birdsongs, missing sound file or something, on normal buttons its fine.

i tried the android version and it downloads file Marine Life.zip.

try either clicking on a different part of the link or try the pc page rather than the android page.
