This version includes a quick-help screen and record editing.

The record editing option gives users simple database editing. You can replace an image/picture with a new picture or edit the species description text. For serious editing try the PC windows version.

downloaded both.
Android version works ok, so is doing the desktop one.
One thing I don't understand on this Windows version: seems to me that enlarging images, enlarges only big images (larger than 300x400) which are reduced when displayed inside the 4 pictures.

that's right. it allows you to see a larger image. i am slowly putting bigger pictures intovthe database (800x800 size approx) so the bigger images can be viewed fully in this way. i have added many big images in birds and butterflies so far. do you have the fungi photos ponrepo got in large size? if so i will add them too.

I have normalized all my images on 300x400 which displays well on both platforms (and was also ok for my dead Acer WM6).
Have added a second image (xxxPh.jpg) to a lot of species in all topics (may be 95% have two) and a tough task was to optimize the rectangular+vertical image.
In fact a 600x800 could fill completely the space on desktop version (going to check):automatically resizing could be good but I'm not able to do it.
Not sure to have Ponrepo's files: will check and let you know.

P.S. This new display will provide the possibility to use up to 4 images for every species, sometime useful to show important details. Of course this is true only for the desktop version. Great!.

NEW VERSION NOW AVAILABLE!!

This new version fixes the bug with the user-defined sd-card path setting routine where the path was not retained on future runs. It also includes a new feature to make downloading and installing nature topics (the Aviasoft database files) easy and fast. This is an In-App feature which does all the work of downloading and copying the data folders itself. Topics can be downloaded and ready for use in minutes. Future releases will have the topics dated so you can check for topic data updates and easily update your nature topics.

This has a new nature topic: MAMMALS. (earlier versions cannot use this new topic.)

NEW! In app downloading and installing of the newest versions of the nature topics. you can see when a topic has been updated and choose to let the app download and update your offline database with it. the app still works using an offline database. updating the data topics requires an internet connection. you may still manually download and update nature topics if you prefer.

NEW! Check for the latest Android App version and let the app download it for manual install.

These new features mean no more hard effort downloading and copying the database to your device's sd card. it happens effortlessly and quickly from within the app.
