Overview: psx4droid is the famous PSX emulator for Android 2.x devices.


It's fast and feature packed including:

psx4droid v1.6 released. Changelog:
- Put sound on it's own thread. Smoother sound playback. Especially on the Droid series of phones.
- Added two new global options for game compatibility. SPU IRQ for certain games such as some Final Fantasy titles. And Root Counter setting for games such as Vandal Hearts 1+2. Use these settings only to test non-working games.
- Fixed bugs in the timing of vsyncs and cdrom resulting in better performance. Slower phones will see the most benefit.
- Fixed an issue where games would draw to only half the screen. This occurred in games like Wipeout XL where 640x240 resolution was used but not scaled correctly.
- Various small bug fixes.

Sound works perfectly in this release, as does some of the unruly games.

Diversity, I know its not much, but Id be willing to give you all my WRZ$ if you could find the companion app to this, Rom Buddy PSX v1.3. I cant find it anywhere!

tested FF7:
game emulation got all the proper speed, runs flawless
though music/sound still slows and sounds bit off it's better than before

i downloaded one with .bin extension, which worked.

all others i find are .7z extension... and these don't work.

.7z is a compression format like .zip, extract the file using AndroZip for Android, or WinRAR for PC.

barely runs on a rooted G1 with 2.2, still kinda playable though
