Hmm. Maybe 3G only works for Verizon.
Wifi may do the trick for other carriers.

I don't have Verizon. 3G definitely does not work, but as soon as I enable wi-fi everything works great! It would be nice to get a version that works with 3G, but for now this will do.

I'm sure it would work, you'd just have to use wi-fi.

any potential chance this one might get hacked to work over 3G (i'm on sprint)? or was there an "unhackable" update to this version to be used over 3G if you are not on the big red monster's network?

No I'm afraid that isn't possible.
Sprint lost NFL Mobile beginning of this year to Verizon.
NFL is not a partner with Sprint anymore.
If they were still together, it would be possible.

@DisturbedOne - Actually, people have made this work on Sprint 3G in the past. What they do is create a binding program that binds a VZW number to the app before install. Wifi will probably be shut down in the next version as well, but if someone can bind a new number to it - like the older version - then it will work over 3g just like the first releases did.

If you have an EVO/Epic, try running this over the 4G connection, the phone itself believes this is a Wifi connection so it should work just fine for those users in its current state.
