LazyIPTV FAQ
Frequently used questions when using the LazyIPTV application:
Q: What is a playlist?
A playlist is a list of files to play. In a broad sense - a list of video, audio files in a specific format. In the context of an application, LazyIPTV is a file in m3u format (which may be in a zip / gzip archive) that is imported into applications for later playback. It is important to note that in our case the playlist may contain both links to video streams (television channel broadcasts), as well as direct links to video files (say, taken from popular video services). The LazyIPTV application has the opportunity to use links to videos on VKontakte and Youtube, as well as view torrent-tv playlists.
Q: Where to find playlists?
LazyIPTV is an iptv client, so do not look for embedded playlists in the application. The user is faced with the task of where to get them. Conventionally, the solution can be divided into 3 ways:
At the provider. As a rule, large Internet providers provide, usually free of charge, an ip-television service. Look at the home page or call support. This is the easiest and problem-free option.
Paid playlists. If you are ready to pay for high-quality image and stability, then this is also one of the best options. For a small fee, you are guaranteed stability and quality. Here is a small list where you can buy iptv access:
torrent-tv.ru (works on torrent technology, but there is support for regular http streams through TS-PROXY)
shura.tv;
i-ghost.net
zargacum.net;
Free playlists. Everything is a little more complicated here. These sheets are collected on the Internet on a specialized site, of which a huge amount. The beauty of this method is naturally in its free. Spoon of tar - no one will guarantee you the performance of playlists. Moreover, such playlists may have a regional restriction (say, work only in one country / region / city) or just be "dead", that is, not working at all. Very often, playlists laid out in public live 1-2 days and "die" when the number of users reaches a critical maximum for the servers from which the channel is broadcast.
The best search tool for playlists is the new Wizards tool, available since version 2.17. You can use the current and self-updating wizard:
http://bit.ly/liwizard for adding via the Wizard Manager (click here).
Several sources for finding playlists:

Q: How to add playlists?
Unlike similar applications, LazyIPTV playlists are stored in their own database, which allows you to create your favorites, store history, move playlist elements from one sheet to another, etc. Before using, a playlist in m3u format (possible in a zip / gzip archive) be imported into LazyIPTV. Options for adding a playlist:
From the file - the playlist must be present on the device, when adding it is necessary, using the built-in file manager, select it on the external or internal media.
From the Internet (by reference) - a playlist is added by specifying a direct link to a playlist located on some server. Optionally, you can set an auto-update mark, which allows you to download it from the specified server every time you select a playlist. It is recommended to use when the playlist on the server is dynamic, and changes over time. I note that when copying links to the clipboard, the address will be automatically filled in when added this way.
From the clipboard is a great solution for those who are looking for playlists on websites and blogs that publish playlist text. To do this, just copy the playlist text to the clipboard and choose this method when adding a new playlist.
An empty playlist is needed to create new playlists that will serve as a source for copying channels from other playlists.
The following video shows the main ways to add playlists to the app:
Q: What is Wizard and how to use it?
Starting from version 2.17, Wizards is supported in LazyIPTV, a tool for importing playlists and TV program sources. This is a regular xml file (in an open or archived zip / gz format), having the extension * .liwizard and describing sources of playlists and epg for later import and use on the target device.
The openness and simplicity of the format provides end users and providers with the ability to organize updateable sources for playlists and EPGs.
Basic wizards operations are performed in the Wizards manager, which is available in the sidebar and allows you to add, delete, update and open wizard files for use. The use of unorganized number of wizards from different suppliers is supported.
Adding a wizard is possible both directly from the device used, and the link to the wizard file on the Internet. It is also worth noting that adding a wizard can be done by explicitly selecting a file with the .liwizard extension from the file manager or browser and then specifying to open the file through the LazyIPTV application.
After adding the wizard to the manager and opening it, the user can see lists of playlists and EPG sources that can be imported to the device. A checkbox in the upper right corner of each item indicates that the item has not yet been imported.
When you add a playlist, the standard mode of adding a new playlist opens with a list of channels of this playlist, the performance of which can be checked here by tapping on the desired channel. After adding playlists and epg, they are available in the Playlist Manager and EPG Sources modes for later use.
The LazyIPTV application monitors the updating of wizard files and informs the user about changes through the system notification panel.
You can use the following updatable wizards:

Q: How to use a TV program?
The application implemented work with an external TV program. At the moment, it is possible to work with the program in xmltv format (jtv support will be later). To connect an external TV program, you must add an address / link in the TV Program Sources. Acceptable use of multiple sources. Moreover, when opening any playlist, you can switch between different sources. Auto-update of the program occurs automatically, as soon as the information in the current loaded version ceases to be relevant. Auto-update occurs in the background, takes some time (usually 30-60 seconds) and is cached on the device. Thus, downloading a program from the Internet once a week, you use cached data during the current time.
Popular TV program sources:
Tegeguide (xmltv, zip):
http://www.teleguide.info/download/new3/xmltv.xml.gzTorrent-tv (xmltv, zip):
http://api.torrent-tv.ru/ttv.xmltv.xml.gzEpg.in.ua (xmltv, zip):
http://epg.in.ua/epg/tvprogram_ua_ru.gzYou can use an unlimited number of sources, but remember that the cached data for each source takes from 10 to 30 MB of space on the device. Data at any time can be cleared by the user, with the release of occupied space.
Q: How to watch torrent-tv?
The application allows you to watch torrent-tv through an external player application. Playlists, as a rule, have the format m3u, but instead of http-links, links are used with the prefix acestream: // or 40-character identifiers (a set of characters and numbers). In the network you can find free playlists (for example, here) or use the standard playlist of the torrent-tv.ru service, having previously registered and bought access (the first 3 days are free for the test). As a player (or more precisely an intermediary), Ace Stream Media is recommended which can be downloaded here. With this application, you can redirect the torrent stream to any video player you use (MXPlayer, VLC, etc ...)
Quick start to watch TorrentTV:
Download Ace Stream Media (Beta) on Google Play (
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.acestream.media)
