How do I get an apk to install on Nexus Player? I don't think she has a browser on it to download from.

You can either set up an SMB share on computer and access it in file manager, like X-plore, on Nexus Player: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/ho ... id-device/

Or just plug in a USB drive via OTG cable and again use a file manager to access it: https://www.androidcentral.com/about-nexus-player-and-usb-support
