Square is a free app available in the Android marketplace that is a subscription service that allows you to honor credit cards with your Android phone. They send you a free card reader that plugs into your audio port. Where they make the money is to take a transaction fee (15 cents + 2.75% of the total amount charged).

Here is their terms of service page that outlines exactly what they do and do not do.... it is basically a convenience service if you have the need to accept credit cards without setting up a merchant account with the major credit card companies...
