Can this be cracked to work with other devices, not just the evo?

Well, I've decided to decrypt the DEX to see what is what. There is a pretty elaborate security mechanism. The installer has a keygen that generates a key particular to your device's ESN, and that key is then AES encrypted.

SO is it safe to say that its gonna take some time to crack this version?

Does anyone have a fix how to get this to work on a FROYO platform?
Thanks

If it doesn't work, chances are that Swype Inc. incorporated some sort of copyright protection.

What do you do with this after you download it? I can't really find an apk file to use for an install.
Thanks.

You have to wait for Swype to be cracked.

I cracked the WVGA version of it and want to share it. Changed two lines in the classes.dex file after decompiling the original apk and then after recompiling it I signed it so you should have no problems installing it :) I've tried it on my HTC Desire using the HTC Sync app installer. It is the latest WVGA version and should work on all WVGA Android devices.
