Here's a working version of Swype v1.60.36 with English and Romanian and the 2.4.44 keyboard

i need german and english - since i switch languages.
i know its not possible to put it in one swipe - my idea: cant we install both (modified) packages and then select the right language over the input method dialoge? would be a nice workaround for those dual-language guys

Doesn't matter how many packages installed, they're still using the same engine, hence classified as same application and cannot be installed independently.
For this 2.4.44 still no language selector, so we must settle with what we have at the moment.
P.S. But for the 1.60.36.8214 it's possible to have multiple languages with new 2.44 keyboard layouts (which are supported in latter version). Tell me if you want it.

I´ve been desperate to find finnish version of this new swype 2.4.44. I think you made a working swedish one for X10, finnish one uses the same keyboard images but propably different database for other things.

I´ve tried to compile this myself renaming the finnish files with english names and re-signing the .apk but I haven´t had luck getting it to work.

Could you help me? I need wvga-version for my nexus one, but my gf has legend so if it is possible to make a hvga version also, it would be perfect! Don´t need any other languages, finnish only is fine for also the small file size. Thank you very much for your help!

Both versions work like a charm, thank you very much! Don´t know what is it, but this 2.4 is a million times more responsive and better to use compared to the 1.60 what I used before. Knew that though, because I tested 2.4 english version earlier!

installed .apk, went to 'settings/keyboard', checked swype, went to messages and help input box and selected swype as input method, when go to use, no KB opens, also, swype settings does not open under 'settings/keyboard'... does anyone know if older 'expired' versions leave something behind on phone that disables future versions from working? I deleted all previous versions prior to installing, help please! slide-it is ok but swype is much better TIA

Non-working swype settings tab seems to take place when apk package is not valid or some files are missing in it.
Which one are you trying to install?

I'm in desperate need of a Dutch version of Swype made for HVGA (Samsung Galaxy i7500). I love this app sooo much. Also singed up for the beta-program, but I'm tired of waiting for them to add more languages! I hope you'll be willing to help me!
