how do you change to swype on evo? i still have stock keyboard and have gone into keyboard settings.

Is there a version of swype for desire in german which supports Apps2SD?
cause my actual swype has 18,38 mb of the phone capacity. lil bit worrying.

Just installed it on my EVO and it's working great. The voice-to-text (mic) feature is awesome.

GOD you think someone could explain to people how to get this to work.

IF this version is compatible with your phone than you simply go to

settings then language and keyboard then click the swype check box.

after that start up whatever text messaging app you have than long click the input text box and at the bottom of the options it'll say input method than you click swype than you're done.

because your phone has a built in swype apk in the /system/app with the actual Swype signature in the app. This version has been re-engineered so it has a different signature and the install will always fail as long as the yours is already installed. if you are rooted you can delete the OEM swype apk and install this one. Otherwise, you'll have no luck
