Ok, lets try some workaround.
Install v1.60 once again and this time uninstall it thoroughly this way:
1. Go to settings-Language & Keyboard and uncheck swype if it is checked somehow.
2. One step back-get into Applications and then Manage Applications. Wait until all applications get listed and find Swype. Get in, then press "force stop" if its not greyed out. After that press "clear data" in second row, and in the end press uninstall to get rid of it completely.

Only after this try to install 2.4.

i cant install :) thats the point.
whatever i do i get that window Replace application. But there is no Swype.apk or libswype or any swype file ,at last i cant find,i have busybox installed and cant find any related file or folder with swype.I tried to put in system/app as nemeh suggested but same thing..i use i5700 if that means something,Eclair 2.1

I can't get Slovenian on the list of languages.

I even installed the Epyws apk, and also not all languages are on the list.

Any help appreciated

Yesterday night I've made some checking. Bulgarian dictionnary file is corrupted: removed. Korean is from an old swype version: unusable. And maybe few other languages can't be used since they come from old releases (I found those in an old 2.4.44 archive grabbed here).

Cheers.

Welcome to the new thread, yepayepa! Seems like we created a monster and everyone wants it.

About the languages, read the last few posts. Magla found out, it's an issue with the old license.dat file.

I will extract a 2.4 license file from a galaxy phone this weekend

Yes, I'd read that. But we also need dictionnaries from 2.4, AFAIK oldest ones won't work.

Cheers.

Something weird happen here...
Yesterday I installed the swype apk (again) with the blue pop up board... worked fine and I posted here telling to you...
Today... I dont know why... the black pop up board came back ..!!! Oo

I didnt even reboot my phone... just like that.. from nothing...

I'll have to try uninstall again this swype.. do a wipe data... and put the apk in the system/app again to install.... maybe in that way it hold the blue pop up board.. :/

wierd - but probably connected to the way you installed it, playing around in /system.
you should try to do it as i adviced. use titanium to uninstall the system app and then install swype just by clicking the .apk in any file manager.
sure you lose some space in /data then, but at least that works.

if you try playing around, you can of course also continue replacing the app in /system

I'd try to uninstall using Titanium B. but remember that some file remains in the system... and I couldnt find it... cause when I search by Root Explorer... returns a black screen and I cant see the results. So I tried to replace the apk in system/app .. like the other matte said. It worked at the moment.

But now I'll take a look to find out how fix this permanently.

Guys, just a couple of thoughts if you excuse me.
I think everything is ok with language databases that you post the link for, yepayepa. Those ones are took from Samsung Galaxy stock.
The thing is, some of the languages in that package weren't included into here existing (and older one) license.dat, namely:
Korean, Bulgarian, SerbianLA and Slovenian.
Doesn't mean they are corrupted or non-valid in some sense, only they're not showing in language list because of that.
Replacing names with some supported language inside license.dat should do. But for Korean, for example, you have two extra files in assets which has to be renamed only by the name of language that also has appropriate extra number of files so it could be working. Not to mention specific keyboard layouts for the Korean and Bulgarian, which also need renaming in this kind of replacing.

Okay. But, for Bulgarian, I got some errors (when calling swype's help). For the others 'unsupported' languages, I don't get any error, they're just missing from the lang list.

Cheers.

Guys, I want this for swype. It is a online kitchen for htc ime mod keyboard. A couple of clicks, and you got your custom keyboard. Insane...

A swype kitchen could also add a language selection...

All right, maybe I'll try to find out later and let you know if something comes up.
