After you root your phone and uninstall the preinstalled version of Swype..I'm pretty sure you still have to use your root explorer and manually delete the libSwype.so file before it will install without errors. The installer by default will not replace preexisting files.

I've found 1 file so far with root explorer with the word swype in it doing a search: /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so

What do you think I should do?

I backed the file up to the sdcard, as you mentioned, and then it took a reboot and then the application installed properly.

Thanks for all of your help Tsjoklat!! I appreciate it.

After enabling it in the keyboard settings, then you have to long press in an input field (any area where you input text) and select it.

Swype prompts that "the package does not match the screen size of the device on tablet version" for both 576 and 600 res that Tsjoklat posted. i guess that okay since it works. but is there a way to disable the warning message?

also when you go landscape to portrait, i have to re-enable swype to get the correct kb res. any thoughts on this Tsjoklat?

Hmm.. This usually happens when the image does not fit within the display boundaries. But, I'm a little confused because the specs on your device say two resolutions.

Code: Select allDISPLAY

10.2-inches (diagonal) LED-backlit high quality resistive touchscreen display

1024-by-576 or 1024-by-600 pixel resolution 16:9 aspect ratio

I'm pretty sure this worked on other tablets with 1024x576 and 1024x600. Atleast, I have not heard any other problems yet. Perhaps the resolution on your device is a little different than the rest?

Yea, the plethora of products under the same model gets confusing to those that don't have the tablet.

Mine is the B0 version.

Ruby PCB
1024x576 res
2gig nand (internal memory)

I also tried your 600 res version and it spat out the same warning. I can live with it i guess since you can only do so much.

I'm a beta swype member and I have tried to get support from the admin/dev in the swype beta forum. They don't support tablets the do not provide IMEI so i'm SOL.
