I would like to be able to help you guys with non-supported languages, but we need to get some swype beta testers from other countries to donate their versions so we can collect the new dictionaries in the new format.

Here is an older version of swype with nordic dictionaries in it (swedish, danish, norwegian). If you could put them into a beta 3 pack it would be epic.

There is a bug in the german version:

When I type a short message, and I write the " sign, then it counts for 91 characters.
This only happens with GERMAN language...with all other languages it is working normally.

Also, when set to GERMAN, there is no mic button on the keyboard.

Is there a chance for fixing these two things?

I don't think the missing mic is a licensing issue. When Swype first came out, only the English voice input worked so the rest of the languages must have been disabled within the application. Hopefully Swype will "unlock" the rest of the languages soon.

As for the other issue.. it sounds like a bug in swype.

I think the format of the dictionary files was changed in 2.29+. If anyone has language files from this version or higher, we could try that in the new version to see if it works. Although, Swype has made a lot of changes in the 3.x version so I dont know if v2.29 would even work with it...but who knows.

Well, I have written an EMail to the Swype company and told them this two things...perhaps it will help

I don't have a tablet to test this with, but for anyone with a 1024x600 resolution screen might wanna give this a try.

The keyboard should fit, but I'm not sure if any of the other "icons" need enlarging. I did this by using gimp on the WVGA files.
