You are close, but you are missing some files.

Tsjoklat, what are you using to repackage the swype files? I'm using apktool but it seems to have a problem with some of the res files so wont decompile. Thanks.

apktool d -r (decompile without resources)

Actually, the best way to add files to an apk is just to rename the apk file to a zip file. Then just use your zip program to add files to the zip (without actually extracting the file). Do not extract the file. Once you add all the files you need to the zip with your zip program, then rename it back to an apk and sign it.

I don't think anyone has posted a Chinese version yet. Swype v3.8 has many EU languages, but not Chinese.

swype support Chinese for HVGA & WVGA
my defy screen resolution is FWVGA
when i update by swype installer,the swype of FWVGA does not include Chinese
but if you got the muti language WVGA swype,i think i may include Chinese? :)

The package you have is not the same as the one that I have. We need your original file to be able to change it. :-)

Site Rule #6.2 Do not ask for requests in the release threads. (like in the gps section: Can you please upload map xxx as well?) This should be done in the request section.

The latest version of Swype that supports Croatian is v3.8. That is probably the best choice.

It is easier to make v3.8 with Croatian than to try and add an unsupported language to v3.25. Once you have added Croatian to the EN only version of v3.8, then you can resize the keyboard files and change SwypeScreen.ini to the following:

Code: Select allNumberKeyboardNameLS = Numbers-LS
EditKeyboardNameLS = Edit-LS
MainKeyboardNameLS = Qwerty-LS
ScreenHeightLS = 280
ScreenWidthLS = 960
ScreenDimensionLS = _qHD

NumberKeyboardNamePT = Numbers-PT
EditKeyboardNamePT = Edit-PT
MainKeyboardNamePT = Qwerty-PT
ScreenHeightPT = 320
ScreenWidthPT = 540

ScreenDimensionPT = _qHD

This means change the size of all the "SwypeRef" LS keyboard files to 960x280 and all the "SwypeRef" PT keyboard files to 540x320. Also, all the keyboard files starting with "SwypeRef" will need to be renamed like this:

Code: Select allSwypeRef_LS_Blue_qHD
SwypeRef_PT_Blue_qHD

Strange thing. I changed the SwypeRef files and 3-files-pack of english, italian, spanish from asset\filles with the older version but when I select one of them the letters doesnt fit the (old)layout of keyboard. It acts as I didnt changed the 3files of language from asset\files.

When you use the 3 language files, you will also need the associated edit, numbers, and "layout" files too.

For Example, the 3 language files for French are the following:

French-full.htm
French.htm
French.zdb.le

But, you need the other files associated to French too:

Azerty-LS-Latin1.zkb.le
Azerty-PT-Latin1.zkb.le
Edit-LS-Latin1.zkb.le
Edit-PT-Latin1.zkb.le
Numbers-LS-Latin1.zkb.le
Numbers-PT-Latin1.zkb.le

All of these files have something to do with the position of the text on the keyboard, which is why you generally want the matching keyboard files from the same version package.

French and English are both Latin 1 languages so that is why French would not need much more additional support files (only the additonal Azerty files). But sometimes you will need Latin 2 or something else.

If you want to try and add Romanian to v3.25, then you will need all the language files associated to Romanian from assets/files and also assets/keyboards from v3.8. Both of these (assets/files and assets/keyboards) should be from the same version package. Also, if you use the license.dat file from v3.8 then maybe you wont have to rename it to German. Not sure.

Romanian is Latin2 Qwerty. So we need this:

Romanian-full.htm
Romanian.htm
Romanian.zdb.le
Qwerty-LS-Latin2.zkb.le
Qwerty-PT-Latin2.zkb.le
Numbers-LS-Latin2.zkb.le
Numbers-PT-Latin2.zkb.le
Edit-LS-Latin2.zkb.le
Edit-PT-Latin2.zkb.le

But, since it is using a Qwerty layout, then it will conflict with the original EN Qwerty layout too. Therefore, you will need to use English and Romanian from v3.8 to make the layout match.
