There is TWO versions of Swype. They renamed the beta so that you can keep the original Swype and test this beta Swype. That is why there are two versions. You must have the original Swype installed to run this beta.

This info is per the info screen when i installed the beta.

BOTH will be installed and you must pick Swype Beta as your default keyboard to see the new changes.

Wrong you don't need both installed. I'm running only the beta apk on multiple devices...

This new version is really good, it even has hand writing for inputting Chinese characters!

I assume that there must be separate versions for tablet and phone? Unless the one version automatically detects? Does anyone know if it is possible to get the tablet version, for installation on a phone? (for use on phones such as the Galaxy Note which is half tablet/half phone).

wow this pretty cool to have swype AND swype beta to choose from in my keyboards options. The swype installers Beta or not dont work for me and give some silly error so Thanks Works on Samsung Vibrant running ICS slm Rom

Thanks for Swype. Unfortunately, there is some kind of security check within this APK if any of the files have been modified. I would really like to skin this keyboard, but the security needs to be disabled. The previous versions of Swype only needed a one line change in classes.dex, but this version is totally different. Can anyone help me figure out what needs to be changed in order to be able to skin this?

Nice! It works for Spanish and English.. But i need dutch language...
Downloading extra languages in settings not working (keeps loading but doesn't load anything).
Can someone provide me Dutch language files or slipstream in the install apk in the OP?
