How does the punctuation file work? Does something else need installing or enabling?

To make the Google account work, after uninstalling the original SwiftKey, reboot your phone and install this one, then login to your Google account.

This is the problem that these mods have, they give you "beautiful" things but they take away important things like the Google Play log. I always download it from google play store, forget about problems and have it updated to the last available version.

For keyboard I think it's better to use Playstore version. Since prediction history is the most important part of this app.

Exactly, any word you type with this keyboard (SwiftKey) will be saved in the app's own dictionary.

Yes, but these mods removed links and other analytics sent in the background, which is a huge perk for me. SwiftKey now being own by Microsoft, a lot of data and analytics about the users are being sent to the Microsoft servers. Same as with all Google products and all those giant tech companies that gather lots of data from users. This is something I like to fight against. Don't think the keyboard is free, it is not, you pay with your data. This keyboard learns users words a lot faster than one would think, even when starting from scratch. It is really not that bad. It's choosing privacy against functionality! At this point, it's the user choice to decide which one is more important to them.
