Yes, its working, but only for the first start. You have always to clear app data to use it again.I have written this several times now under the posts.

I tried replicating the problem but it works fine for me. S22U stock android

Okay what @xploid said is actually true but i guess its happening only on miui 12. Even i have the same problem. Even after giving all the permissions and keeping autostart ON, Its only works for the first time then i have to toggle auto start again for it to work...
