Isnt calling out with google voice a paid feature?

Edit - I see that to land lines its free, but what about other peoples cell phones? Is that still free? I also looked and Canada is included in the free calling, is that land lines and cell phones?

Anyhow, i installed this on my Droid and it wouldnt let me dial out! I had to configure the app to pick my phone number and from then, it worked properly. I hope it gets updated to make certain contacts be called by a default platform soon.

I assume i will need to add one of those Friends and Family plans right, since this thing dials my phone back from google everytime i make a call, i would be charged for that during normal hours. If i use a friends and family plan and add my google number, that should take care of it no?

The official Google Voice app uses your mobile minutes, while this app & the other app, I was referring to in my earlier post, utilize the Call Back feature and let Google Voice service calls a phone number of your choice which could be a SIP phone (e.g. Gizmo5) which is configured by another app like SIPdroid.

In that case, you don't use up any mobile minutes at all since the call goes through the data connection.

Google voice current version can do the same thing. It is free, you can forward your call to any registered number, like gizmo5. If you already installed sipdroid or guava, you can use your 3G or wifi to call.

I ended up purchasing it, its only 2 bucks, worth it. If the dev is reading this, piracy lead to a sale, so don't complain lol.
