the previous user was talking abt me needing to install something on the pc?

this is the process im doing with PocketCloud:

> went to my router setting and port forwarded 3389 to my internal ip which begins with 192.168.x.x

> installed wyse client on my phone and used the external ip address 67.247.x.x and tried to connect to my desktop

and i still get could not connect to server. i am sorry but im getting really annoyed now . wat am i doing wrong?

Thanx

A few questions:

1. If you have your phone and computer on the internal network, can you get a connection if you use the computer's internal IP in PocketCloud?

2. Do you have any firewall software running besides the Windows Firewall? (Norton, Mcafee?)

3. Have you confirmed that RDP is working by using another computer to connect to your server, either using the internal or the external IP?

Quick question I am using the Galaxy S and I can get it to work just fine when I use the mobile hotspot and get the laptop to connect to the hotspot then remote into it based off the IP it pulls off the hotspot, however when i connect it to a wireless connection it fails to connect..... There is a captive portal which could be preventing the connection but I do authenticate through the web browser first. Are people getting this feature to work over wireless or do are you only getting it to work when it is the hotspot? Thanks for replies in advance.

Works on my SGS froyo + windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.

1. install phone app and download and install "PocketCloud Windows Companion" (google it).

2. Start prog on your windows it goes to your taskbar to the right where your clock is. Select there
"Auto discovery settings" and use your gmail address and password. Now your windows is ready.

3. Start app on your phone. Tap "+" sign on the upper right corner. Select "Auto discovery (beta)"

Setup your gmail login and sign in.

After that it connects to your computer and you have to give your pc's password to login. READY :)
