For some reason, skype only works on wifi in US now. I seem to recall it working on my mobile/sprint conx before... im using an EVO with custom rom, anyone else experiencing same?

The reason you can't is because you've never been able to... unless you have the modified version that allows you to :)

the Skype version on the market (FREE btw) works on Wifi/3g/2g in Canada (I tried)

yeah it works in every other country except the united states.. unless you are the exception and happen to be on Verizon.. then you can make calls over 3G.. bit fishy isn't it? haha!

mkay I won't waste more time on this but... one guy says it works everywhere except the u.s., another guy says it works U.S. only

I was able to get skype to work on a 3g network though i didnt realize that i had a "modified version" installed. i Did some searching and i found an apk that is modified so i have it working again on my evo. Was an easy google seach to find... The hacked verson can place calls on 3g,or 4g made by Xeudoxus of DroidForums. I hope how i passed this info on that i havnt broken proper protocol seeing that it is easily found by a google search.
