if anyone had paid attention, there are piracy measures in v1.22.5 and up which will exploit a bug in superuser after an undisclosed amount of days and wipe your data partition and sdcard partition. If you don't have root it'll attempt to root your phone and then execute these measures. Not to mention emailing everyone in your contacts database plus corporate exchange address book that you pirate software.

How does it do this? How does it know it's pirated? Through copy protection (CRC checking for changes to any file) in the code + market licensing checks + other piracy measures which will remain a secret.

How is this legal? You're stealing software which means you forfeit the ability to take legal action Enjoy everyone!

That's dubious at best. I'm not sure what license this software is released under but if somebody bought it and decided to try and tweak it a bit for his own benefit something like that could be rather problematic. In addition, I'm not sure if functionality like that violates the Market's TOU; think I'll check up and ask 'em later.

Let me know if it does break the TOU as i've experienced this using Astrid 1.16 (the pinkish alien like logo)....

So it didn't wipe your data & SD partitions either?

I've been using version 1.22.4 and it's nice, but one thing it sorely lacks that the stock email app on my Verizon HTC Incredible has is conversation threading.
