Do you have to create a new account or will it work for an existing account?

It works with your existing account. You can do the same thing with the Windows client (v1.3.12+). For every 500mb pic/vid you upload, 500mb will be credited to your account..

an easier way to do this: get a USB Stick or memory card, make a folder called DCIM and insert 4.5 gigs of pics, avi or mp4, turn Win Autoplay on and select to import files to Dropbox, be sure to have the latest version installed

wait for the upload to finish, it will take some time, you can also upload smaller files, if u don't have a 4.5 gigs usb

It's working just fine. Just make sure that your DCIM->Camera folder has at least 5.5 GB (photos OR movies ) and after that open the dropbox app and let it sync. Just got my 5 GB on dropbox like that ;). Good luck.

Just copying directly to the folder will not work, i tried. You have to use the new version and use the import feature of the new software for it to work. It's not really that hard, just install the new beta software available from there forum, install, copy files to a USB thumb drive or plug in your camera and when the windows auto run asks you what to do just import using dropbox app and when it's done it will inform you that you have more space (up to 5Gb or 7.5 total).
