1. go here: http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/
2. go here: http://californiacolleges.edu/newuser.asp and created a .edu email address with the fake info you got from first link.
3. enter your newly created .edu address here: https://www.dropbox.com/edu

Note: Verification of email can take a while. Mine took like 12 hours to be activated.

Fake name generator seems like overkill. When making a spoof address just use whatever name, etc you will remember.

I've tried Californiacolleges.edu, but I'm not sure it actually generates a .edu email address?

Thanks for the tip if it does actually work.

I suppose it doesn't work anymore.

It's months that they do not give anymore edu addresses, but other universities still do. You have just to spend some time looking.

Found this info somewehre on the internet. Dont give me credit for this.

Easy 5GB without actually uploading 5GB. Worked very well for me!

1 (Not required) Exit dropbox (right click tray: Exit)
2 Collect 5GB of .avi's on your pc (If you have 5GB storage space, if you have 2GB, collect 2GB of .avi's)
3 Copy the .avi's to your phone in DCIM/Camera folder
4 Install/Update your desktop(Windows etc. Not android!) dropbox client from the first post
5 Make sure dropbox is running
6 Connect your phone in mass storage mode
7 From the action pop-up in Windows choose: Import with dropbox
8 Wait until import is complete
9 While dropbox is uploading the files (After indexing!) right-click the tray icon and select 'pause syncing'
10 Delete the avi's from Dropbox/Camera Uploads folder
11 Right-click the tray icon and select 'resume syncing'
12 Done!

I already said that a couple of message up.
You don't even need to pause the sync, just delete all the files. I discovered that by myself.

Any way to get it without uploading 5gb files?

You don't have to upload the 5gb files. Just get dropbox to index them and when the upload process start, you can stop it by simply deleting the files. So you basically get the 4.5gb without uploading anything. To get the first 500mb, you HAVE to upload 1 file. Any simple image file would do.
