Do not put much hope on free VPNs. We don't really know if the servers are MiTM servers to steal users traffic or whatsoever. They're usually congested and will never reach anything near your internet plan. For instance you have a 100M line at home, probably it'll only top out max at 10-20M which makes your internet experience much slower. Some heavily congested ones even worst, they become unresponsive and won't even load the content you want.

Unlike the big players such as ExpressVPN, Nord, Surfshark if you can afford them don't think twice.They're much more reputable, they have thousands of servers with 10Gbps capacity and audited. We should never compromise with these factors when taking them into account.
