The ads-engine is still present, but disabled, if pro-functions are unlocked. Don't worry.

This app has not bee updated in a long time. I guess nobody use IM anymore. I use Whatsapp, Viber and Wechat more often now.

Well, with exception to Skype, which has again been updated by Skype, blocking all 3rd party devices, so they can push their shitty adverts!

I WISH I could get rid of the Skype Adverts on the Desktop Client...

I think if you put some credit on the application the ads don't show
