Instructions for Google Play Store Patched:
1.Install latest Lucky Patcher
2.Run Lucky Patcher > Menu > Select 'Patch to Android'
3.Select √ 'Signature Verify always True' and 'Disable Zip Signature Verify' > Apply > Yes
4.After reboot go to 'Patch to Android' and check (Patch applied). If applied exit from Lucky patcher. otherwise do 3rd step again.
5.Backup current Google play with Titanium backup if you want to restore original version in case.
6.Rename downloaded 'GoogleMarket.by.Chelpus.TrueLicenseMod.apk' and transfer to sd card.
GingerBread users > rename to 'Vending.apk'
ICS / Jelly Bean users > rename to 'PhoneSky.apk'
7.Open Root Explorer and copy/replace renamed apk to '/system/app/' folder
8.Set permissions rw-r--r-- and Reboot

I installed this and restarted, twice, as well as clearing cache and data and GP will not even launch. (Force closes) I've used many GP installers (by Chelpus) before with no issues so I'm guessing this one has a problem.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've been using Play store mod since GP 4.3.
I follow the instruction (the one with replace method) to the letter.
And have no problem at all.
Today (as every update), i just simply install over the previous one, and no need to redo everything.
Kinda confused why some people failed.

Same issue here, using the installer it wont even open, GP just FC when trying to open...Never had this issue before when using he installer

EDIT: Tried it doign tit the manual way with LP and still FC upon opening. Going back to 4.6.17 till this issue is fixed

copy the new Google Play Store v4.8.19 patched apk in system priv-app and everything is working no problems

Ok guys, I had to come back here and post the solution I found to the FC issue!

* If you have force closes after updating, go to your rom's themes and switch back to "default" or "system" theme. *

It took me a bit of headache to realize this but many themes don't work properly with the new GP unless the dev updates it. I found a really nice theme that darkens GP and works with the newest ver. despite not being updated recently. It's called "Flatron Blue" and free on GP.

I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I have followed all of the instructions to the letter and get the error "core.jar not patched" when I try to install the modded version of the store. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (original model) with ICS. I have also confirmed root access.
