Hello PutterPlace. Can u make some sort of agreement with infinity, so only one of u will post this app?
So we never been confused for the alt sig again.
I know there maybe a possibility that other releaser will post as well.
But it seems u are the only one who follow update for this app tightly.
I have uninstall the infinity version and install urs.
I still use other infinity's release though, such as : nova launcher.

FYI, u can always backup current data using titanium backup or its kind, uninstall infinity version and install putterplace version, restore data only
Or u can also export all camera configuration, uninstall infinity version and install putterplace version, import back the configuration.

I am posting this, as I remember I involved in asking for the alt sig at the first time.

I would also like to learn how to "fix" or change the alternate signature error myself (other apps as well)... Anyone know how to do this? Or where to find out how to do it?

You don't fix, but backup-uninstall-reinstall it again or just simply bypass thru LP patch to android.
For LP patch, i don't encourage to turn off the apk signature verification.
As it helps u to determine the source and originality of the apk, to differentiate the ori and modded version.

The best way is still as I stated above (need root though) :

1. Backup ur current app using titanium backup
2. Uninstall the app
3. Install again from the different source/sig ones
4. Restore "data only" from titanium backup.

The other workaround is to re-sign every download apk before installation, with the same key using apk editor

But the catch is u won't know the downloaded version is ori or modded.
And u still have to uninstall/reinstall for the 1st time u use it and need to do it for every update #painful

@Reasm: I've never really had any luck getting in contact with infinity, so an agreement probably wouldn't be doable.

But yea, for those who want to avoid the alternate signature, Reasm stated the only way to switch without losing your data. For those who don't have root, though, I've put the alternate signature version in the OP.

You can also export your cameras to dropbox or wherever you want and then import them...

@freakshow69: That's definitely another option that wouldn't have crossed my mind. Does that save all configurable settings from the app when doing so? Or just the saved cameras?

@Putterplace, not sure about the configurable settings, haven't messed with those, but definitely the cameras.

Considering the cameras are the most important part, I'd say that's not a bad alternative for those who don't have root. Thanks for the info. I'm sure it will help some people.
