GrowBox (ROOT) is an APK that pretends that it is MX Player, and properly sends along the video url and headers received from Showbox to any app. You can now potentially cast with any supporting casting app again.
It seems Showbox is now sending headers with the web video player, and MX Player was the only one that supported this feature. I have added support for sending headers on the video request with AllCast. This will let AllCast users continue using ShowBox, with the latest version of the Showbox app.

Install:
1.Uninstall MX Player if you have it installed (Growbox needs to simulate that app).
2.Install the GrowBox
3.Install AllCast from the Play Store.
4.Cast from ShowBox. You'll once again see a "open with" option, and you choose AllCast.

This app has no advertisements

anyone else suffering F.C. stopped with all versions of 4.x of showbox onwards ? I'm using galaxy s4 running kitkat stock firmware? :-\

I havent tried this version yet but yes,try to clear cache to see if that helps.I can confirm just downloading newest version and playing crashes.I cleared data and cache and it works fine. I am using s4 active with kit kat.

I can confirm its not the mod... if you download the app from the website it crashes for the s5 kitkat..... wait for an update

I just installed and opened and it asked to update again and i did and it works fine,They changed alot about it so it might work for you now.Its pretty cool looking and has different servers now you can choose from.I had it crashing as well but after clearing cache and data it worked fine.

did you try to delete data and cache from settings? They also have a newer version 4.0.4 that worked fine for me. It seems like you also need mx player to play movies.I think they changed some things and it only works with that player. I did install this version and it would crash on opening.After clearing data and cache it didnt crash anymore. Also they got rid of pop up box that lets you pick which player. If you use growbox it makes pop up box come back but you can only use allcast to cast screen or mx player. You can use internal player but i think you need to get rid of mx player.If you go to showbox .com they have all directions to make it work.

im just trying to help,did you go into settings go to applications,then to showbox and clear cache and data there in settings. The rebuilding dalvik and doing stuff from recovery didnt work for me also.As soon as i did what i mentioned it worked,also try the 4.0.4 that i metioned a few posts up cause that worked fine with no crashing.If none of that works i would stay on the older version till they fix it.

Yep. Wiped Data & Cache through settings and through Titanium.
Tried v4.04 Op release & also one from coolvideo. Even allowed update via installed v3.88. No love.
Am beginning to think it may be a conflict with another app.
