I dont know, the update isnt really that significant to go through all of this. There is still no crossfading, at all, not even the cheap kind where music fades into each other by a given set of seconds. It's a basic feature found on music players on windows mobile devices and even webos. Not impressed with this update. Its just a pretty player with an eq that can download album art, not much more. A music player is to play music, yet when you attach this to speakers or what not, it still sounds like music coming out of a cell phone no matter how much you play with the eq. Audio junkies know what Im talking about. Sad thing, is that all the other players arent even that much of an improvement.

There might be circumstance where people don't have access to the market, in which case, this will work. There are case where the popup license error is gone, but if you go into the menu you will see license verify failed.

On a side note: I don't see what's all the hoopla is about. Sound is very compress and distorted. Sure you can have crank the bass and treble to your heart desire, but that's so 60s. It's more of a depth/space-ness/surround/clear/lively kind of thing now and that's not me saying, it's 40+ years of top notch research.

I totally agree with you. Its my theory that most android users dont really understand where we are at with audio players. They get excited over how pretty it looks. The fact alone that Windows mobile has better audio playing features than the best of android players is unbelievable to me. They even have DSP features! Let alone crossfading. These are features that were available in Windows 95, lol. Ohhhh my Droid ... maybe things will be better with gingerbread.

Droid Wall method works. After saving setting, remember to hit menu/home button and enable Droid Wall- it will ask for superuser privileges. So stop shitting on guy who posted app and crack. I'm using new version from market with this license and it's working.

Thanks.

Moreover, in "Droid Wall" you can change of WHITE list to BLACK list simply clicking on MODE: WHITE LIST (BLOCK SELECTED) on the main screen and switch to the BLACK LIST. That is much more comfortable because it simply will activate the application you want to block, not the other way that had not wanted to activate the lock.

For that my downloads be more comfortables, I advise to use "FIREFOX o CHROME" with the add-on "Adblock plus"

Same thing here. I guess, after the evaluation period is over, we will get some sort of error message.

Yes it is normal. Because the Internet have blocked not attempt to verify the license. However, if it appears after a few days the license error message and closes, you have to go to manage applications and data PowerAMP clear and working again.

been running good for me so far with the use of droidwall, I'm running Darchstar 2.8 build version of an aosp rom...just followed the instructions and the suggestion of backing up the settings with titanium backup...if you can't get it working try using the older version from techn9, it works good too....or you could always buy the key and support the dev, I mean, if you like the player that much, and use it often, then the one time price of the key is nothing compared to the money most people waste in one day....

Just had the error message....
Been using DroidWall to block poweramp from connecting to the internet, today it popped a message that it cannot verify the licence and it closed.
I deleted the app's data through app2sd and it fixed the situation, so my point is that even with droidwall method, you will get blacklisted eventually. Just delete app's data.
I' ll keep looking for a fix on this.

I got the error message after using the wall too. Also, by blocking it you can not download album art. We need a way to block it from the market only.

This app works perfectly for me.

Here are the steps that I did:
1. Install Droidwall by Rodrigo ZR
2. Put a check on all apps (as it's a whitelist), EXCEPT on "any app", "any app (root)", and "poweramp/unlocker".
4. Presse menu >> Save and enable firewall
3. Disconnect from the internet.
4. Install Unlocker
5. Install Poweramp
6. Reboot
7. Confirm that there are no checks in the three items in Droidwall that I mentioned in step 2
8. Open Poweramp settings, you should see that the license check has failed due to lack of connectivity. Disable the "send email to developer" checkbox anyway.
9. Connect to the internet
10. Open Poweramp and enjoy

I came from stock, Meridian Pro and PlayerPro. And I must say, PowerAMP is the best music player I've tried so far. Thanks for the share Margallo Droid!
