1. Uninstall the YouTube app
2. Create directory : /system/app/YouTube with 755 permission
3. Put the downloaded apk to /system/app/YouTube.apk
4. Reboot

I couldn't make it work. Interesting...

(Ad Free) but bottom page said "with Advertisements"?

Can we use this app without signing to default (phone/tablet) Google account?

In order to get this to work
1. Uninstall the YouTube app
2. Create directory : /system/app/YouTube with 755 permission
3. Put the downloaded apk to /system/app/ (Do not put the apk in the folder you just made put it in the director of /system/app/)
4. Reboot
5. Download lucky patcher install the custom patch for youtube app
6. Update the youtube app if you don't want to wait 30 seconds to use the app everytime you open it.
7. install the custom patch again.
Now you can play videos in the background

P.S. This is what I did to get this app working maybe there a few steps you don't have to do but I recommend to follow this exactly.
