I recommend VitalPlayer 1.2.4 over this one....and on my HTC Incredible VitalPlayer has given me excellent results playing AVI without any audio/vid sync issues.

Two dings against this latest version are (1) they seem to have ditched the screen lock and (2) the screen brightness defaults to hardware setting, but the software setting gives much broader range of control. On 1.2.4, screen lock is right on the front menu, and screen brightness defaults to software setting.

I'd stay away from 1.2.5....on my phone that version crashed.

This new version works great for my Desire Z with CM7. Screen brightness can be adjusted by swiping your finger on the right side of the screen. No issues here. Thanks.
