I am not able to find videos from Ext. Card, I did uncheck '.nomedia' and check 'show hidden files' options. but no luck :(

Little help here please!

Regards.

Make sure mx player already get the permission to access external storage, check with ur phone permission manager. Then go mx player settings, at the list - scan folders, make sure ur ext sdcard partition is not strikethrough. Or just add manually the path to your ext sdcard.

Added path manually, also remounted my SDCard, still not working. I have no issues with previous version I've been using. This is wearied!

I can confirm that it won't read any files in SD card. I have done everything like adding folders, uninstalling and re-installing the app, granting sd card access etc.. The previous version 1.8.2 definitely worked for me with no problems.

Hey,
Great, Thanks for confirming. I thought my phone has gone bad. Version 1.8.8 also works, you may update the app.

But I wonder, how come it is working for others....! who said so?

It seems only both of you have the problem, so far no other report the same thing. There must be some similiarity on both of the phones. What android version do both of you use? The only obvious solution now is to revert back to older working version.

Agree, Android N is tightened up some security protection on unknown app.

Custom ROM tends to give mysterious unforeseen problem. You need to try this version at other phone using stock MIUI or non nougat version.

Mine shows up just fine, embedded or external. Probably need to reopen the subs from the options?
