If you have banners, it simply means that you are not using this mod
You're kidding right
I downloaded it put on a flash drive install on the TV and I get flickering- in adverts on the bottom right corner from this app
Essentially exactly the same as the original download

Why waste your time on this Kir, the original Mobdro has no adverts and I've been running 2.1.38 for a number of days and nothing.

the name fluffbutt really? that explains everything lol.....if you already had official installed prior, you can not completely uninstall mobdro without es file explorer file manager installed...clear cache, clear data, uninstall........."wait" for es to pop up with message to delete remains of mobro before installing again.........there is no flickering or ads in KirIif's mod, you might get flickering on channels cause mobdro is not the perfect streaming by any means

i have been making modchips for over 20 yrs & i can tell you the eprom chip inside firestick gets about 38% warmer using the official mobro from the mining vs the mod fact!

when I say flickering I mean I get a little rectangular box advert in the lower right corner sometimes 6 in one go that flicke in for a tenth of a second maybe half a second and then disappear
I tried it with ES file manager but it doesn't pop up and say anything about clearing remains
does it matter this is actually being done on an android TV rather than a mobile or fire stick or something actually on the TV itself?
at any rate the adverts are that annoying like I said the probably an inch wide by 1/2 inch high and they only there for half a second or less
And Fluffbutt? Yep... No worse, no better, than abuhcar after all

Fluffbutt this may not be an answer to your exact question but I've noticed in the past that on some Android TV boxes the ads you see when opening one app may be from a different app trying to open an ad at the same time.
But I can tell you that this version of this app has not shown me any ads.
Ads suck and I don't run any app that has ads myself.
I doubt you have the system rooted, correct? Do you have an ad blocker running system-wide?
I've had to set up a friends phone which was unrooted the other day and I found the app AdGuard worked rather well as a solution to system-wide ad blocking etc.

Thanks for that no it's not rooted
There's a weird thing here I tried an ad blocker not sure what it was called but it kept on popping up a notification every time it blocked an ad which was as bad as the ad it was blocking and for some reason due to the nature of the TV I couldn't turn the notifications off it said illegal activity on this device when I tried
How weird is that?
It's a bit of a shity TV anyway blaupunkt... not sure if it's the TV or the app but every so often mobdro makes the TV reset itself from power on but could cold start.
it's brand new but don't think you could claim TV restarting on warranty if they'll just say the apps did it
I might just stick it in the bin and get another one TCL maybe
Anyway Norton clean removed the original mobdro and said it got rid of 83 megabytes of stuff so obviously something else came out... It might just be there's not going to work on this TV
Sorry for any offence I may have given talking about adverts in the application

mobdro has always been this way always
....it takes a special kind of stupid to add ads into an ad-free app
