There are more "Vanced" apps, not just this one. The background play doesn't work for me, it always does a popup. There is no YT Music app?

Its advantage for me (on MIUI/Xiaomi) is that I don't have to disable MIUI Optimizations each update, which really sucks and makes me miss my older Moto phone. I wonder if there's any way to install the Vanced suite without having to disable the MIUI Optimizations (which deletes all app permissions).

YouTube Vanced works great for me, it was the first app I downloaded on my new Moto G Stylus viewtopic.php?f=429&t=3945097
No root (yet) so I have to use MicroG in the background, but it's fine. No battery drain. (If you do have root, you don't need MicroG)
I mainly got this to listen to videos in the car with the screen off, and it works flawlessly.
And if you want to download videos (or convert them to mp3) I use ytmp3.cc

This is similar to NewPipe, expect because its on the Play Store it can't download videos or play audio while your phone is locked like NewPipe can. The only benefit it has over NewPipe is that you can sign in to your account and any benefits that that entails.

Under the setting, there is an option for download but on main screen, I can't find the download button. Anyone manage to download from this apps?
